Lassen Meadow was founded on the belief that productive agriculture and thriving natural ecosystems are both immensely important to preserve and protect. Rooted in California's fertile north, we responsibly steward over 50,000 acres of working farmland, while helping protect more then 4.5 million acres of natural habitat across the U.S., South America, Europe, and Australia.

Kurtis Carman - President
Kurtis Carman is an entrepreneur and conservationist with over 40 years of experience spanning commercial construction, agricultural investment, and environmental stewardship. From scaling businesses to mountains, Kurtis' breadth of experience across industries gives him a rare ability to evaluate opportunity, manage complexity, and lead with both pragmatism and purpose. Jeff Blake - Executive Director
Jeff Blake serves as Executive Director of Lassen Meadow Ag, bringing a multidisciplinary background in horticulture, land resource management, and agribusiness strategy to his leadership of the company's investment, conservation, and consulting operations. Jeff holds a STEM-designated MBA from UC Davis, combining rigorous quantitative and scientific training with deep field-level expertise across crop production systems, IPM, irrigation systems, soil health and biodiversity management. His career has taken him across five continents, leading agricultural and conservation projects in Ukraine, Chile, Australia, Spain, and throughout the United States — giving him a firsthand understanding of the diverse land systems, regulatory environments, cultures and market dynamics that shape the balance of agriculture and conservation efforts on a global stage. Jeff joined Lassen Meadow Ag with a conviction that the most impactful work in agriculture sits at the intersection of ecological stewardship and sound business practice, and he leads the organization with that principle front and center.
